Beautifully soft photos by American based photographer Michael Kenna. They make me want to go and shoot endless rolls of black and white film. Having a photogenic subject like New York wouldn't hurt either...
I like that the title is 'photographing silence'. Did you come up with that? Or is it the title of a series? Either way, its never crossed my mind that photography could be so powerful as to capture sounds (and the other senses, besides the obvious visual).
I am a Kiwi-born Melbourne girl, currently completing my honours in Art History. When I don’t have my head stuck in a hefty art reference book, I can either be found getting serious about coffee, or playing around with one of my cameras (the collection is growing).
There really is a town (and an island!) called Amelia, but for now the title of my blog is more metaphorical. It’s a place for me to share my photography, the art that I love, and the inspirational bits and bobs I find scattered about online.
